In this brief given to us by my Year 2 Graphic design Tutor Alex Gilliot, we were set the task of creating a poster advertising an upcoming Exhibition in our local town.

Design Inspiration
"I rarely draw what I see"- Barbra Hepworth
During this brief I wanted to look further into the art and work of Barbra Hepworth. I sampled a few off her images from stuctures and models she created in the past. I decided for the fit off my own poster to use a large stand out shape from her sculpture series. This shape in particular had two large holes almost like eyes, which grabbed my attention. I then worked with this video to come up with a shape that fit my design.
Swiss Inspiration
As part off the brief we had to use and take inspiration from Swiss contemporary graphic style. I adopted the use of large type and bold colours to make a perfectly balanced colour palette to grab the attention of my target audience.
